I photographed this Tufted Titmouse on a cold but sunny morning at Peace Valley park, my usual haunt. Of all birds I’ve photographed, my luck has been best with the titmouse. They aren’t as skittish as some other small birds which makes photographing them from up-close a bit easier. And they seem to be very curious birds too, pecking at everything around them.
I love this photograph. The bird is sharp, centered and well lit. The background is a clear white, with no distractions. Definitely a keeper.
